First Sonata

January 27, 2016 by Grace Corton

She took her hand and outlined it over the landmarks.
And sketched her face on the countryside.

She carved the valleys with her bones.
And filled the air with her laughter
As the sun borrowed her smile.

Every river flowed with her soul.
Earth’s core stole the soft beat of her heart.

And she took her name and wrote it on the world.
